He is excited to leverage technology to solve information asymmetry and develop innovative solutions to enable smarter shopping communities. Henry holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the National University of Singapore and held previous roles at SP eCommerce and Zalora.
Joel Leong
Co-Founder of ShopBack
Joel heads up Merchant Development at ShopBack. A go-getter and a world class negotiator, he is responsible for driving deals and partnerships to bring the most rewarding shopping experience for ShopBack’s users.
Joel holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the National University of Singapore and hailed previously from Zalora and the Economic Development Board of Singapore.
Guillaume Castagne
Co-Founder and CEO of Cove
Guillaume is co-founder and CEO of COVE. He was previously the global co-founder and CEO of Vaniday, a Rocket Internet startup which developed a marketplace for beauty services and beauty professionals.
He built the company from scratch and expanded it to 5 countries, with up to 100 employees worldwide. He was also VP of Online Marketing at e-commerce giant Lazada, and also worked as a management consultant with Bain & Company. He is an alumnus of HEC Paris in France.
Sophie Jokelson
Co-Founder and CMO of Cove
Sophie is co-founder and CMO of COVE. Prior to COVE, she was the Regional Marketing Manager of AMEA region for General Mills, where she expanded their snacks business in Asia in partnership with Alibaba.
She was also accepted into the fast-track General Management Development Program of Mars Inc, and assumed full P&L responsibility as a Senior Brand Manager of Mars ice-cream business in the UK. She holds a first-class degree in Molecular Genetics from University of Edinburgh.
Luca Bregoli
Co-Founder and COO of Cove
Luca is co-founder and COO of COVE. Previously, he was co-founder and COO of an online home decor business which launched 200+ SKUs and sold 1m+ products. He also worked as an investment banking M&A analyst with Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London.
Luca holds a Masters degree in Entrepreneurship from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
Jeremy Tan
Founder and CEO of Liquid Pay
Jeremy is a veteran in the financial technology industry, having launched, co-invested, built and divested multiple successful technology companies in the past decade. His latest venture being the founder and CEO of Liquid Group Pte Ltd, a mobile payment platform company headquartered in Singapore, with presence in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Hong Kong.
Jeremy currently serves as Honorary Secretary in SGTech. From 2009 to 2017, Jeremy was on the board of Infocomm Investment Pte Ltd (now SGInnovate) and prior to this, he sat on the Board of the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) between 2009 and 2013, where he also served on the Investment Committee.
Jeremy holds a Master of Science (Comparative Politics) from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor of Engineering from King’s College London.
Henry Nguyen
CEO of Timo Vietnam
Hoang Bao “Henry” Nguyen is the Chairman of Phoenix Holdings, an investment company focused on operations in technology, retail/consumer, fintech, sports and media.
Prior to Phoenix, he also served as the Managing General Partner of IDG Ventures Vietnam, a private equity firm focused on consumer, technology, media, and telecom investments in Vietnam. In addition to these two roles, Nguyen is also the Developmental Licensee for all McDonald’s restaurants in Vietnam as well as the CEO of Timo, Vietnam’s first digital banking service and leading neobank in Vietnam. With a deep passion for sports, he established the Saigon Heat pro basketball team, which competes in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL), and the Vietnam University Games (VUG), the country’s official organizer of university athletics. He is also the Chairman and Founder of the VBA (Vietnam Basketball Association), the country’s premier professional basketball league.
He also serves as the current President of the Vietnam Basketball Federation (VBF). In addition to his sports activities in Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen is the Founding Owner and Vice Chairman of the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) in Major League Soccer (MLS). As a deep advocate for the improvement of education in Vietnam, he has served as a founding board member of British University Vietnam. Mr. Nguyen is also a Founding Trustee of Fulbright University Vietnam (FUV), the country’s first private, not-for-profit institution of higher learning. Mr. Nguyen has served on the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, and he is currently a member of the Advisory Board of ASEAN Business Club, the regional business platform to support Southeast Asian economic integration.
He earned his BA (Magna cum Laude) in Classics at Harvard University, and his MD and MBA from Northwestern University Medical School and the Kellogg School of Management.
Athena Lee
Co-Founder and CEO of ZumVet
Athena is the CEO & Co-Founder of ZumVet, a digital health platform for pets. She is an animal lover and committed to making quality veterinary care accessible to all pets.
She was previously CEO of Doctor Anywhere and has consulted on various healthcare projects in Singapore. Athena started her career at Moody’s Investors Services in New York, then served in the Chief of Staff office at UBS AG. Athena holds a Bachelor of Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
Grace Su
Co-Founder and COO of ZumVet
Grace is the COO & Co-Founder of ZumVet. She is passionate about animal welfare, and is an animal lover. Her medical background has provided her with keen insight on the perspective of healthcare providers, and she is on a mission to raise the standards of veterinary care.
She was previously the Clinic Manager at The Iron Suites Medical Centre, and the Medical Director of Salus Medical Solutions, before practicing on Doctor Anywhere, a Singapore-based telemedicine platform. Her experience in human telemedicine inspired the use of technology to solve issues of access to healthcare, for pets in ZumVet. Grace holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the National University of Singapore.
